1. What is GST?
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has announced that effective from 1 July 2018, imported low value goods (worth AUD 1,000 and under, exclusive of tobacco, tobacco products, and alcoholic beverages) sold by retailers to Australian consumers will be subject to Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST). Overseas businesses will need to collect a 10% GST on sales and remit the GST to the ATO.
From 1 July 2018, Joybuy will collect 10% GST for low value goods (worth AUD 1,000 and under, exclusive of tobacco, tobacco products, and alcoholic beverages) sold to Australia. Joybuy will then remit the GST to the ATO.
2. Which items will be taxed?
From 1 July 2018, items that meet the following criteria shall be subject to a 10% GST that will be paid by the buyer:
● Items from outside of Australia
● Items shipped to delivery addresses within Australia
● Items with a customs value of AUD 1,000 or less. This value excludes transport and insurance costs from the place of export to Australia

b. On the checkout page, you will see an additional 10% GST added to your order total.
3. How will returns and refunds be made?
a. If your order has not been shipped, you will receive a full refund inclusive of the GST amount.
b. If you have applied for a return, you will receive a full refund inclusive of the GST amount upon confirmation that your returned items are undamaged and fulfil our returns policy.
c. If you have applied for a partial refund, you will receive a refund inclusive of a prorated GST amount. For example, if you have applied for a 50% refund on your order, you will also receive a 50% refund of the total GST amount you had paid. If your order total was $100, you will receive $50 and 50% of your GST amount of $10, making your refund total $55.
